Mireille Arditi

Portrait image

Born in Alexandria, Egypt, on April 1, 1933, to a French father and an Italian mother, Mireille Arditi attended French schools in Egypt, India (where her family relocated during the war from 1941 to 1944), Switzerland, and Milan.

Only after 1998, following a 40-year career as a conference interpreter in Italy and abroad, was Mireille able to dedicate herself to artistic pursuits, including watercolour, engraving techniques, and particularly woodcut printing.

She studied at the International School of Graphics in Venice, attended seminars at Atelier Aperto in Venice, and trained under Franco Vecchiet and Andreas Kramer. She participated in both solo and group exhibitions in Milan (including the Federica Galli Foundation, Spazio28, Chie Gallery, and Galleria Diciodesign), Venice (Venezia Viva, International School of Graphics), Carpi, Naples (Atelier Controsegno), as well as in Greece and Switzerland.
